Tradeify sells one-time evaluations with no activation fee, but the rules change depending on which plan you buy. Growth has a soft daily loss limit and no consistency rule. Select drops the daily limit, adds a 40% consistency rule and lets you pick between two payout policies once funded. This guide explains each rule as Tradeify's help center described it on November 3, 2026. For prices and our overall verdict, see the Tradeify review.

Drawdown: end-of-day, but enforced live
Every Tradeify evaluation uses an end-of-day (EOD) trailing maximum drawdown. The level only moves up based on your balance at the session close, so intraday swings in open profit don't drag it higher. But the level is enforced in real time. If your net liquidation value touches it at any point in the session, the account fails immediately, even if price recovers before the close.
Worked example: Select 50K
- You start at $50,000 with a $2,000 drawdown, so the floor is $48,000.
- Day 1 your open profit peaks at $900 but you close the day up $300 at $50,300. The floor moves to $48,300, not $48,900, because only the close counts.
- Day 2 an open trade drops your net liquidation value to $48,300. The account fails right there, even if you would have closed the day green.
On funded Select accounts the trailing stops once it locks at $100 above the starting balance. Tradeify lists the lock triggers as end-of-day balances of $26,100, $52,100, $103,100 and $154,600 on Select Flex, and $26,100, $52,100, $102,600 and $153,600 on Select Daily. So a 50K funded account's floor stops at $50,100 once you close a day at $52,100. Tradeify's payout article adds that the lock also happens immediately when you request a payout, whichever comes first. A breached funded account cannot be reset; you need a new evaluation.

Daily loss limit
Growth evaluations have a soft daily loss limit: $600, $1,250, $2,500 or $3,750 by size. Hitting it stops trading for the rest of the day but does not fail the account. Select evaluations have no daily loss limit at all. Once funded, Select Flex still has none, while Select Daily adds one of $500, $1,000, $1,250 or $1,750. Plan your per-trade risk against these numbers with our daily loss calculator. For other firms without a daily cap, see prop firms with no daily loss limit.
Consistency rule
Growth has no consistency rule. Select uses 40%: no single day can be more than 40% of your total profit. A day at exactly 40% is allowed. To work out the total you need after a big day, divide that day by 0.40. Tradeify's own example: a $1,300 day means you need $3,250 of total profit. On a 50K account, three days of $1,000 pass cleanly, with the biggest day at 33.3%.
The rule only controls when you can pass, not how much you can make in a day. It does not apply to funded Select accounts under either payout policy. A 50% consistency add-on costs extra at checkout. Our consistency rule guide compares how other firms run this rule.
Minimum trading days
Growth has a one-day minimum, so you can pass on your first day. Select needs three trading days, or two with the 50% add-on. There is no time limit to reach the target as long as you don't breach the drawdown, but you must place at least one trade per week, Monday to Friday, on each evaluation. Otherwise the account can be closed for inactivity after an email warning.
Contract limits and scaling
Current evaluation limits are 1, 4, 8 and 12 minis (10, 40, 80 and 120 micros) on both Growth and Select. Growth accounts bought before September 12, 2025 keep older limits of 5, 10 and 15 minis on 50K, 100K and 150K. Funded Select accounts start below the evaluation limit and scale up as end-of-day profit grows; check the current table in your dashboard before sizing up. To work out how many contracts fit inside your drawdown, use our position size calculator.
News, overnight and weekend rules
- News: allowed. Tradeify's FAQ answers "Yes, it's allowed," and the Select article says Tier 1 news trading is allowed in evaluation.
- Session: you can trade from 6:00 p.m. ET to 4:45 p.m. ET the next day.
- Overnight: positions can only be held within one session. You cannot carry a position into the next session.
- Weekends: no weekend trading.
Prohibited practices
- Hedging: not allowed, including opposing positions on the same instrument or a correlated product, in one account or across several.
- Very short trades: to request a payout, more than 50% of your funded trades must be held longer than 10 seconds.
- VPN or VPS logins: not allowed, per Tradeify's FAQ.
Martingale sizing is allowed as long as you are not hedging. Account limits also apply: up to 15 evaluations per 30 days, up to 10 resets per evaluation per 30 days, and no more than five funded accounts at once (per household, according to the FAQ).
Payouts step by step
Funded Select traders choose Select Flex or Select Daily, and the choice is permanent for that account. Both pay 90/10.
| Select Flex | Select Daily | |
|---|---|---|
| When | Every 5 winning days | Each day after the session closes, once above the buffer |
| Winning day | $100 / $150 / $200 / $250 | n/a |
| Amount | Up to 50% of total profit | Up to 2x profit since last payout, not below the buffer |
| Buffer | None | $1,100 / $2,100 / $2,600 / $3,600 |
| Cap (bought on/after Sept 1, 2026) | $1,250 / $2,500 / $3,500 / $4,500 | $600 / $1,250 / $1,750 / $2,500 |
| Minimum | $250 | $250 |
- Complete KYC and Rise onboarding before your first payout.
- Meet your policy's trigger: five winning days on Flex, or a balance above the buffer after the session on Daily.
- Check that more than half of your funded trades were held longer than 10 seconds.
- Submit the request from the Tradeify dashboard. Only one request can be open per account.
- Tradeify says requests are usually processed within 24 hours after Rise onboarding, or up to 72 hours over a weekend.
After any payout you must be net positive for the new cycle before you can request again. Growth funded accounts follow a single fixed payout policy; Tradeify's Select plan page says Growth pays out every five days, but we could not open the dedicated Growth payout article to confirm caps and minimums, so check them in your dashboard.
Common ways traders fail
- Trusting "end-of-day" too much. The level only moves at the close, but touching it intraday still fails the account.
- Holding into the next session. Positions must be flat by 4:45 p.m. ET; nothing carries overnight or over the weekend.
- Passing too fast on Select. A big early day under the 40% rule means more days of trading, and more chances to hit the drawdown.
- Ignoring Select Daily's tighter limits. Daily funded accounts add a daily loss limit and, on 100K and 150K, a smaller drawdown than the evaluation.
- Going quiet. No trade in a Monday-to-Friday week can lead to closure.
- Scalping too short. Payouts need most trades held longer than 10 seconds.

No. Positions must be closed by 4:45 p.m. ET and cannot be carried into the next session or over the weekend.
When does the funded drawdown lock?
At $100 above the starting balance, once your end-of-day balance reaches the trigger for your size or when you request a payout, whichever comes first.
Can I trade news at Tradeify?
