Free Futures Trading Calculators
Position size, risk/reward, tick value, profit and loss, margin and contract value for 16 CME futures, including ES, MES, NQ, MNQ, CL and GC. Free, with no sign-up.
How to use these calculators
Start with the position size calculator: decide how much of your account you're willing to risk, enter your stop distance, and it tells you how many contracts fit. Then check the trade with the risk/reward calculator. The break-even win rate shows how often the trade must work to cover its losses.

Frequently asked questions
How do I calculate the value of a futures tick?
Multiply the tick size by the contract multiplier. For MES, 0.25 × $5 = $1.25 per tick. For ES, 0.25 × $50 = $12.50. The tick value calculator does this for 16 popular contracts.
How many contracts should I trade?
Decide how much you'll risk per trade, often 1% or less of your account, then divide by the dollar risk of one contract at your stop. The position size calculator rounds the result down so you never exceed your limit.
Do the calculators include commissions?
The profit and loss calculator includes a per-side fee you enter. The others show gross figures. Use all-in rates (commission plus exchange and NFA fees) for accurate results.
Where do the contract specs come from?
Tick sizes and multipliers come from CME Group contract specifications. Each contract guide links to its CME source.
Are the calculators free?
Yes. There's no sign-up, and the numbers you enter stay in your browser.
