Our Topstep vs Tradeify guide compares the two firms at 50K. This one looks at the larger accounts, 100K and 150K, where the gap in pricing, drawdown and payout caps gets wider. All figures were checked on each firm's help center on November 3, 2026, before promo codes.

Quick verdict

  • Tradeify is likely the better fit if you want a fixed one-time cost, a slightly larger drawdown at each size, your own platform and no news restrictions.
  • Topstep is likely the better fit if you expect to pass within a month, want higher contract limits and like the option of a soft daily loss limit.

Tradeify gives you $500 more drawdown at each size. Topstep lets you trade more contracts. Which matters more depends on your style: a trader who uses wide stops benefits from the extra drawdown, while one who scales into several positions may value the higher limit.

Cost by time to pass

PlanPass in 1 monthPass in 3 months
Tradeify Growth 100K$255$255
Topstep 100K Standard$248$446
Topstep 100K No Activation Fee$149$447
Tradeify Growth 150K$369$369
Topstep 150K Standard$348$746
Topstep 150K No Activation Fee$229$687

Resets are not included. At both sizes, Topstep's No Activation Fee path is cheapest if you pass in month one, and Tradeify is cheaper from month two onward.

Tradeify's other plans

Tradeify also sells Select evaluations ($265 for 100K, $369 for 150K). Select has no daily loss limit but a 40% consistency rule in the evaluation, and leads to either a Select Flex or a Select Daily funded account. Lightning accounts skip the evaluation entirely for $660 (100K) or $796 (150K), with no resets. Topstep keeps one Combine with two payment paths, so there's less to compare.

Funded payouts

AccountWhen you can requestCap per payout (100K / 150K)Minimum
Topstep XFA StandardAfter 5 winning days of $150+$3,000 / $5,000$125

Tradeify Select DailyDaily, above a $2,600 / $3,600 buffer$1,750 / $2,500*$250

*For accounts bought after September 1, 2026. Both firms cap each request at 50% of profit or balance on their five-day plans, and both pay a 90/10 split. Topstep traders who joined before January 12, 2026 keep 100% of their first $10,000. For speed comparisons across firms, see the fastest-paying prop firms.

News and platforms

Tradeify's help center says it has no rules against trading news. Topstep restricts new opening trades in equity index and metals futures for a 10-minute window around CPI, the jobs report, PPI and Federal Reserve announcements, with micro-contract caps that vary by account. On platforms, new Topstep accounts use TopstepX only, while Tradeify supports Tradovate, NinjaTrader, TradingView, several Rithmic platforms and WealthCharts.

Sizing a large account

A 150K label doesn't mean $150,000 of risk. Your real budget is the drawdown: $5,000 at Tradeify or $4,500 at Topstep. A 10-point stop on three ES contracts is $1,500, a third of Topstep's limit on one trade. The same stop on three MES is $150. Size from the drawdown using the position size calculator and read How Prop Firm Evaluations Work.

Bottom line

If you're confident of a fast pass and want to trade more contracts, Topstep's No Activation Fee path is the cheaper start. If you'd rather pay once, keep your own platform and have a little more drawdown, Tradeify Growth fits better. Read the full Tradeify review and Topstep review before buying.
