Overview
TradeDay offers two evaluation styles, Quick Pay and Fast Pass, in sizes from $25K to $150K. Both are monthly subscriptions with no activation fee, and TradeDay describes its rulebook as having just one hard rule: do not hit the maximum drawdown. Quick Pay comes with a choice of intraday or end-of-day (EOD) drawdown in evaluation, pays out after one day once funded and has no payout buffer, but splits profits 50/50 until you have $4,000 of profit in the account. Fast Pass needs only three days to pass and pays 80/20 from the start, but needs five profitable days per payout and caps each cycle. TradeDay suits traders who want simple rules with no daily loss limit, and who use one of the many CQG or Rithmic platforms it supports. It suits fewer traders who want to keep most of their first few thousand dollars of profit, given the Quick Pay split. Our how we rank page explains how we weigh these factors.
Plans and prices
TradeDay's homepage lists every plan as a monthly subscription with no activation fee. The table shows the regular monthly price. At the time of checking, TradeDay was showing discounts of about 50% to 55% off these prices (for example, Quick Pay Intraday 50K at $59 instead of $131). Discounts change often, so check the price at checkout. A reset costs the same as the current monthly price, and your next subscription payment also resets a failed evaluation for free.
| Account size | Quick Pay Intraday (monthly) | Quick Pay EOD (monthly) | Fast Pass EOD (monthly) | Profit target | Max drawdown | Daily loss limit | Max contracts |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| $25K | $100 | $120 | $130 | $1,500 | $1,000 | None | 2 minis / 20 micros |
| $50K | $131 | $175 | $189 | $3,000 | $2,000 | None | 5 / 50 |
| $100K | $240 | $285 | $350 | $6,000 | $3,000 | None | 10 minis |
| $150K | $360 | $400 | $530 | $9,000 | $4,500 | None | 15 minis |
All plans have a $0 activation fee. TradeDay's homepage lists a 50-micro limit on the 100K and 150K plans alongside 10 and 15 minis, so confirm the micro limit for larger sizes in your dashboard.
Rules explained
Maximum drawdown
TradeDay calls its drawdown the trailing maximum drawdown (TMD). It never moves down, and it stops trailing once it reaches the starting balance. On a $100K account the TMD starts at $97,000 and freezes at $100,000 once your balance reaches $103,000.
The two drawdown styles differ in when the level rises. An intraday TMD follows your highest unrealized equity during the session. If your $100K account peaks at $101,000 and finishes flat, the TMD has still moved to $98,000. An EOD TMD only moves after the close, based on your closing balance. With either style, equity must never touch the active level during the day. If it does, positions are liquidated and the evaluation fails.
One detail matters a lot: once funded, Quick Pay Funded Sim accounts always use an intraday drawdown, even if you passed on an EOD evaluation. Fast Pass Funded Sim accounts stay on EOD. On Quick Pay, payouts do not reset the TMD, because it is calculated on gross profit including past payouts.
Daily loss limit
TradeDay's rules article states that maximum drawdown is the only rule that fails an account. The homepage and help articles we checked do not list a daily loss limit for any plan.
Consistency rule and minimum days
Quick Pay evaluations need at least five trading days, and no single day can exceed 30% of total profit. If you hit the target early, you keep trading until you have five days. Fast Pass needs three days with a 45% consistency limit, though TradeDay's own pages conflict on the minimum: its rules article says three days, while its "What is Fast Pass?" article says there is no minimum but you can pass in three. Quick Pay funded accounts have no consistency rule. Fast Pass funded accounts opened on or after July 26, 2026 must keep any single day at 45% or less of gross profit (current profit plus past payouts); Fast Pass accounts opened before that date have no funded consistency rule.
Trading times, news and price limits
You must trade only within permitted times, only permitted products and within your position limit. Accidental breaches of these guidelines are not treated as failures, but repeated abuse can cost you the account. Funded traders may not trade within 2% of an exchange price limit. Profits from trading tier 1 data releases outside permitted times can be withheld. The articles we checked link to a separate permitted-times page but do not spell out the overnight or weekend rule, so confirm it before holding past the close.
Scaling
Fast Pass funded accounts start below the evaluation limit and add one contract for every $2,000 of end-of-day profit. A 50K account starts at 2 minis (20 micros), and a 150K account starts at 4 minis. The 25K account starts at 1 mini and tops out at 2. Quick Pay funded accounts keep the same position limits as the evaluation.
Payouts
Quick Pay
Quick Pay Funded Sim accounts have no milestones, no consistency rule and no payout buffer. You can request a payout after one day, with a $250 minimum. The split depends on how much profit is in the account at the time:
- Below $4,000 of current profit: 50/50.
- Above $4,000 of current profit (and still above it after the payout): 80/20.
- If a payout takes you from above $4,000 to below it, the part above $4,000 is split 80/20 and the rest 50/50.
TradeDay's own example: with $6,000 of profit and a $3,000 request, you receive $2,100. Funded Live accounts pay 90/10.
Fast Pass
Fast Pass Funded Sim accounts pay 80/20 and need five profitable days per payout cycle. A profitable day is at least $100 on 25K, $150 on 50K, $200 on 100K and $250 on 150K. The maximum payout per cycle is $750, $1,500, $1,875 and $2,250 by size for accounts opened on or after July 26, 2026, and the minimum request is $250. TradeDay's "What is Fast Pass?" article lists the 100K cap as $1,850 instead of $1,875, so confirm it in your dashboard. Funded Live accounts pay 90/10.
What you actually keep: a 50K example
Say you have $3,000 of profit in a funded 50K account and want $1,500 before the trader's share is applied. On Quick Pay, current profit is below $4,000, so the whole request is split 50/50 and you receive $750. On Fast Pass, the same $1,500 is within the 50K cycle cap and split 80/20, so you receive $1,200, but only after five profitable days of at least $150. Quick Pay pays sooner, Fast Pass pays more per dollar withdrawn.
There is a second effect on Quick Pay. Because the drawdown is calculated on gross profit including past payouts, withdrawing money lowers your balance but does not lower the drawdown level. Each withdrawal therefore reduces your room before the account is lost. Traders who withdraw early and often on Quick Pay should plan for that thinner cushion.
How to request
On a Funded Sim account, click "Request Withdrawal" in your TradeDay dashboard. The button only appears when you are eligible. On a Funded Live account, you email TradeDay's funded trader desk. Requests received before 5:30 p.m. CT are processed within 24 hours on business days, and funds are paid through Riseworks. US wires and L2 crypto withdrawals are free; international wires cost $15 and L1 crypto costs $2.50 plus gas.
Platforms and data
TradeDay supports two data feeds. On CQG you can use Tradovate (TradeDay's main platform), NinjaTrader (a free NT8 version is available to members), TradingView and Jigsaw, the last two with your own license. On Rithmic you can use R|Trader Pro, Quantower, ATAS, MotiveWave, Sierra Chart, Bookmap (own license), WealthCharts, MultiCharts and several others. NinjaTrader Desktop is not supported on Rithmic accounts. Using your own NinjaTrader license does not lower TradeDay's commission costs.

Who should choose it
Choose Quick Pay if you want to withdraw small amounts early and often and are comfortable with an intraday drawdown once funded. Choose Fast Pass if you want an 80/20 split from day one, an EOD drawdown throughout and a three-day evaluation, and you can accept capped payouts. Either way, check how many ticks of room your drawdown gives you with our tick value calculator, and read the MES contract guide if you plan to start with micros on a 25K account.
