Overview
Plus500 Futures is the US futures business of the Plus500 group, run by Plus500US Financial Services LLC. It is built for simplicity: one flat commission for micros, one for standard contracts, no platform fee and no market data fee. You trade through Plus500's own web platform and mobile apps rather than third-party software.
That design makes costs easy to predict and keeps the barrier to entry low, with a $10 minimum per deposit. The trade-offs are that you cannot use outside platforms such as NinjaTrader or TradingView for order entry, and exchange fees are added to the flat commission.
Commissions and fees
Plus500 publishes the following on its fees and charges page. Commissions are per contract, per side.
| Item | Fee |
|---|---|
| Micro contracts (e.g. MES) | $0.49 per side |
| Standard contracts (e.g. ES) | $0.89 per side |
| NFA regulatory fee | $0.02 per side, per contract |
| Exchange fees | Charged separately, per CME's schedule |
| Platform, data, routing and inactivity fees | $0 |
| Deposit fees | None |
| Withdrawals | First each calendar month free; then 1.75% (min $1, max $150) |
| Liquidation fee | $10 per contract |
The liquidation fee applies when Plus500 closes positions because your account can no longer support them. Keeping enough funds in the account avoids it.
All-in cost example
Plus500 does not list per-contract exchange fees. Its FAQ points to CME Group's fee page, so we used CME's non-member Globex exchange fee: $0.35 per side for MES and $1.38 per side for ES (CME fee schedule, as republished on TradeStation's exchange-fee page). For the NFA fee we used the $0.02 Plus500 publishes. The NFA's own assessment is $0.01 per side as of July 1, 2026, rising to $0.02 on July 1, 2027.
One round turn of MES:
- Commission: $0.49
- CME exchange fee: $0.35
- NFA fee (Plus500 figure): $0.02
- Per side: $0.49 + $0.35 + $0.02 = $0.86
- Round turn: $0.86 × 2 = $1.72
One round turn of ES:
- Commission: $0.89
- CME exchange fee: $1.38
- NFA fee (Plus500 figure): $0.02
- Per side: $0.89 + $1.38 + $0.02 = $2.29
- Round turn: $2.29 × 2 = $4.58
Plus500 does not list a separate clearing fee. Because there is no plan fee, these costs are the same whether you trade once a month or every day. Use our profit and loss calculator to see how they affect a trade.
Margins
Plus500's margins page lists intraday margin of $50 for the Micro E-mini S&P 500 (MES) and $500 for the E-mini S&P 500 (ES). Plus500 explains that the intraday rate is what you need to open a position, while the full-day margin set by the exchange applies after the close. The margins page does not show overnight figures or the exact times when intraday rates apply, and it notes that rates may not be shown in real time, so check the platform before trading.
A $50 margin on MES does not mean $50 is a safe account size. A 10-point move against you on one MES contract is $50. Our margin calculator shows how margin compares with contract value.
Platforms
Trading runs on Plus500's own web platform and its iOS and Android apps. There is a free demo account. Real-time data is included at no charge, which is unusual; most futures brokers pass on CME data fees. The flip side is limited choice. Traders who rely on advanced order-flow tools, automated strategies or a specific charting package will not find third-party platform support here.
Account opening and minimums
The minimum deposit is $10 per transaction. Plus500 accepts Google Pay, Apple Pay, debit cards and bank transfers. Prepaid and credit cards are not accepted. Deposits can take up to three business days to settle; you can trade with unsettled funds but cannot withdraw them until they clear.
Regulation
Plus500 states that Plus500US Financial Services LLC is registered with the CFTC as a futures commission merchant and is an NFA member, NFA ID 0001398. It is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Plus500US Inc. Confirm the current status in NFA BASIC before you fund an account.
