Ken Roberts Formations
NOTE:
A lot of Ken Roberts students find it difficult and time consuming to locate the possible
commodity formations that are occurring. This section will help point out common formations occurring in the
futures markets, such as the 1-2-3 top, 1-2-3 bottom, and sideways channels. Identifying formations is an art and is relative to the individual doing the identifying. Some speculators adapt strict timelines for each type of indicator they use, while others follow the adage "if it looks like a duck and quacks like a duck". This page is going to follow the later, so our
commodity charts may look a little premature to some and right-on to others. The Ken Roberts Course tells you exactly how to react to each formation, but deciding if a market has actually made a formation is going to lie upon your shoulders. Paper trade as many
futures markets as you feel comfortable following, because every market has it own distinct personality. The preceding formations are updated only once a week. So before you place any orders whether on paper or with real money you should consult a broker for real time quotes and any additional information they might have.
